About the Hand Painting
This dupatta is entirely hand-painted without any tracing — every line, motif, and figure is drawn freehand directly onto the fabric by the artisan. This makes each piece a truly singular work of art, carrying the artist’s individual touch in every stroke.
Washing & Care Instructions
- Dry clean only — strongly recommended to preserve the hand-painted artwork
- If hand washing is necessary, use cold water only with a very mild, colour-safe detergent
- Do not soak, scrub, or wring — gently swish and rinse
- Wash the painted side facing inward to protect the artwork
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry
- Dry in shade only — never in direct sunlight, which can fade natural pigments
- Lay flat or hang to dry; avoid folding while damp
Ironing Instructions
- Iron on reverse side only (painted side facing down on a soft cloth)
- Use low to medium heat — no steam directly on the painted surface
- Place a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the fabric at all times
- Do not iron directly over any painted area
Storage
- Store loosely rolled or folded in a muslin or cotton cloth — avoid plastic bags
- Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture
Dimensions and exact scene composition may vary slightly as each piece is individually handcrafted.
