Handwoven in Chhattisgarh, this exquisite Pichwai Kosa-Tussar Dupatta is a rare confluence of two great Indian craft traditions โ€” the sacred Pichwai art of Nathdwara, Udaipur and the handloom heritage of Chhattisgarh.

Woven in natural Kosa tissue and desi Tussar, the dupatta features a lustrous golden tissue border that frames the fabric with quiet opulence. The body is adorned with intricate hand block-printed and hand-painted Pichwai motifs โ€” sacred cows and blooming lotuses rendered in 10 vibrant natural colours โ€” each telling a story rooted in devotion and artistry.

Washing & Ironing Instructions

  • Dry clean only โ€” strongly recommended to preserve the hand-painted Pichwai motifs and natural colours
  • If hand washing is necessary, use cold water with a very mild, colour-safe detergent
  • Do not soak โ€” limit immersion to under 2 minutes
  • Do not wring or twist โ€” gently press out excess water and lay flat on a clean towel to dry in shade
  • Do not machine wash or tumble dry โ€” agitation will damage the painted and block-printed surface
  • Dry in shade โ€” avoid direct sunlight, which can fade natural colours over time
  • Ironing: Iron on the reverse side only on a low / silk setting
  • Place a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the dupatta โ€” never iron directly on the painted or printed surface
  • Do not use steam on the painted areas
  • Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant, or harsh chemicals on the painted area

Storage

  • Store folded in a muslin cloth to protect the artwork
  • Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods
